bioinformatics
Management of biodata has become a very high necessity if Africa must move forward in biotechnology research and development (R&D). While it is true that some biotechnology research is taking place in Africa it is also true that the data from such research activities are kept by individual scientists in ways that are not available for other scientists to tap into. There is, therefore, a need to install biodata management best practices in Africa to help coordinate data from ongoing research and prepare a platform for the next generation of scientists to stand and commence their work.
ISABB is ready to coordinate a team of African scholars in the division of bioinformatics to tackle the problem of biodata management in Africa. Interested African Scholars who specialize in bioinformatics should please register with ISABB.
